India vs Australia Champions Trophy

India vs Australia Champions Trophy
Today sees India vs Australia in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy, a cricket event that is second only to the Cricket World Cup. The Champions Trophy is held once ever two years; the World Cup is once every four. Talking about their batting attack, Ricky Ponting still holds the reins and leads his team. Mitchell Johnson is also capable of giving a stormy performance as he did against West Indies.
The tournament is an eight-team event. Today, India faces off against defending champions Australia. Cricket is a huge sport for millions worldwide - popular in many of the old British colonies such as India, Australia and New Zealand. It's an arcane, confusing game to the American observer. I had the benefit of watching a bit over in England last year accompanied by some knowledgeable explanation. It's actually not that complicated once you learn the basics. But these cricket games can be very long - sometimes taking days to complete.
Talking about the Australian defense, they have done good at the tournament so far. They started off with a win against West Indies and are high on confidence level. Ricky Ponting is in a good form while Ishant Sharma isn’t in such a defendable form against him. Bowling wise, Mendis and Ajmal are in good form too and would be supported by the batsmen. After the loss to Pakistan, Indian team is in desperate need for a win.
